O-Map Conditions
Date: 29.10.2026
The following document defines how to handle the data entered in the O-Editor. Every user of the O-Editor must agree to these conditions when saving their changes.
Where is the data stored?
The data is stored on O-Map's own database in Europe.
Who can view the data?
The O-Map can be viewed on the associated website www.o-map.ch. The drawn objects are part of the public map tiles and of the map export, which other programs can also retrieve.
Who has what rights to the data?
Every registered user is allowed to modify the data. Changes are visible at once and are reviewed by an admin. The admin reserves the right to ban individual users in case of misuse and to undo changes made.
You may only import an OCAD map (in the O-Editor or as an O-Manager background added to the O-Map) if you hold the rights to it or have the map owner's permission. Its objects then become part of the public map like drawn objects; you can remove your own imported maps under "Your imported maps" in the O-Editor, and the admin can remove an imported map at any time.
What belongs to the data?
The following characteristics belong to the stored data:
- Time of entry
- Type of symbol
- Coordinates
- User name
How can I delete the data?
You can delete the drawn objects at any time in the editor. Earlier versions of an object are kept in the edit history. To delete your account, write to info@o-map.ch; your objects then stay on the map without your username.
For questions about the O-Map conditions you can contact us at info@o-map.ch.
